More than a skateboard. This one is personal.

The Berserker × One More Wave Fishtail Deck was created to honor an organization that has had a profound impact on my own life and so many other veterans.

One More Wave is a veteran-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to provide wounded and disabled veterans with customized surfing equipment and a community to surf with, using surf therapy to help veterans find peace, health, wellness, and connection. Their custom boards aren't intended to sit on a wall—they're built to get veterans back in the water.

I am a recipient of One More Wave, and it's difficult to put into words what this organization has meant to me. They've given me far more than a piece of equipment. They gave me another community, another outlet, and another way to keep moving forward during some of the hardest chapters of my life.

I owe a tremendous amount to this organization, and this board is my way of honoring what they do for veterans like me.

The deck itself was intentionally built on a fishtail skateboard shape to replicate the silhouette and soul of a surfboard, bringing the worlds of surfing and skating together. The high-visibility toxic yellow graphic features the One More Wave trident front and center, and the One More Wave and Berserker marks at the tail.

The design represents something both organizations understand:

Sometimes you don't need to see the whole way forward. You just need one more wave. One more ride. One more reason to keep going.

One More Wave reports having awarded 748 surf-therapy grants since 2015, helping wounded and disabled veterans get customized equipment and get back into the water.

For me, this board isn't simply another Berserker design.

It's a thank you.

A thank you to the people who show up for veterans when they need it.
A thank you for the community.
A thank you for the healing.
And a thank you for giving guys like me one more wave.
